Desk to 5K

Desk to 5K will consist of 10 weekly preparation activities.

Each weekly activity will consist of:

  • Running/walking form tutorial
  • Improving form dramatically, cutting your risk of overuse, and injuries so you can run more consistently.
  • Warm up
  • Loosens the joints and increase blood flow to the muscles while preparing them for physical activity and prevent injuries.
  • Intervals of running and walking
  • Cool down - helps to avoid fainting or dizziness, which can result from blood pool in the large muscles of the legs when vigorous activity is stopped suddenly; helps to remove waste products from your muscles.
