MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority received proclamations from both the City of Saginaw and Saginaw County declaring May as Mental Health Awareness Month.
Saginaw City Council read allowed and presented persons served with the proclamation on Wednesday, May 6 and the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners presented theirs on Tuesday, May 19.
Persons served from the Consumer Leadership Team and Bayside Lodge Clubhouse attended the proclamations and gratefully received them on behalf of themselves and the agency.
Mental Health Awareness Month is recognized in May as a time to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around behavioral health issues and how it can impact all of us, whether personally or through our friends and families.
