SCCMHA holds required new Home Manager training in June annually and renewal Home Manager training in the Fall: September and/or October. Please Use the LMS catalog to view dates for upcoming trainings.

16 Hours of Required Training Annually - Licensee

P&P 05.06.06.02: …the licensee and administrator must annually complete no less than 16 hours of Department of Human Services approved training that is relevant to the licensee’s admission policy and program statement.
- If Home Managers are completing their General All Staff Online Annual Renewal Training, they are acquiring 6 hours of training credit.
- If Home Managers are attending the required annual Home Manager Specific Renewal Training in-person at SCCMHA, there are often 6 hours of credit associated.
- The remaining 4 hours can be achieved from the SCCMHA CEU Lunch & Learn opportunities as well as the other external trainings SCCMHA CEU promotes throughout the year.
- Or finally, Home Managers can submit their own external education they may be seeking out and attending – this information must be sent to CEU so it is documented within the Home Manager training record.

LARA AFC Provider YouTube Training Channel
State of Michigan (SOM), Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Bureau of Community and Health Systems (BCHS) Provider Training Channel. On the BCHS Provider Training Channel, Applicants and Providers will find various resources and training videos related to codes, rules, and acts. Providers will also find training videos that empower them to go above and beyond minimum licensing requirements and implement "best practices".
**Note: SCCMHA does not encourage providers to complete any of the trainings on YouTube to replace current SCCMHA required trainings, as they are not yet vetted. Feel free to use the training videos as supplemental education only.
